![]() Leaving a review when you don't understand the purpose of the app you are reviewing is just rude. Now they are upset that the wrench isn't a hammer? Grow up and go find the proper tool! Don't berate something just because it isn't what you need? This app does a great job doing what it does. These complainers seem to be looking for a hammer, but found a wrench. If I needed to make big changes, I would use another tool! Now you don't have to go through all that process. At some point, you'll want to just view the contents of a Jupyter Notebook file then you have to fire up your jupyter Notebook either from your command line or Anaconda. ![]() If you want to edit the json source, why not just install Anaconda and use Jupyter Notebook or Jupyter Lab directly? I can see the benefit of a crude editor for fixing typos and the like, which is what this is. IPYNB Viewer Instantly view IPYNB (Jupyter Notebook) files without having to fire up Anaconda or Jupyter. I cannot speak to the second use case, which is what all the negative reviews seem to be complaining about. My strategy was to render final notebooks to pdf, for scanning. Before buying this tool, my quick viewer showed the raw json source, which was less than helpful. As a data scientist who does almost everything in Jupyter notebooks, I wanted a quick viewer so that I could scan the rendered contents of a notebook in the file system. ![]() Note that "deleting" files or subfolders by moving them to the Trash may not be enough if that doesn't seem to help, make sure to also Empty your Trash. This thing covers two use cases - (1) *.ipynb viewer and (2) rough editor. Again, you can fix this problem by moving directly contained items into sub-folders. Accessing items in any folder containing many items can cause errors like OSError: Input/output error. A similar problem can occur when reading from other folders after a successful drive.mount(). If you encounter this problem, try moving files and folders directly contained in "My Drive" into sub-folders. Repeated attempts may eventually succeed as failed attempts cache partial state locally before timing out. If thousands of items are directly contained in the top-level "My Drive" folder then mounting the drive will likely time out. Google Drive operations can time out when the number of files or subfolders in a folder grows too large. Why does drive.mount() sometimes fail saying "timed out", and why do I/O operations in drive.mount()-mounted folders sometimes fail? using multiple accounts to work around access or resource usage restrictionsĪdditional restrictions exist for paid users here.downloading torrents or engaging in peer-to-peer file-sharing.file hosting, media serving, or other web service offerings not related to interactive compute with Colab. The following are disallowed from Colab runtimes: We prohibit actions associated with bulk compute, actions that negatively impact others, as well as actions associated with bypassing our policies. ![]() Resources in Colab are prioritized for interactive use cases.
